OBITUARY John M. Witthohn July 13, 1944 – December 16, 2018 John M. Witthohn, 74, of West Babylon, on December 16, 2018. Beloved husband of 44 years of Karen L. (nee Schneider). Devoted father of Janet L. (Christopher) Link, John F. (Noelle) Witthohn, and Paul A. (Jennifer) Witthohn.

Cherished grandfather of Gabriel, Jack, Soraya, Aidan, Collette, and John Mark. Adored son of Bertha H. (Stein) Witthohn and the late John A. Witthohn. Dear brother of Richard and David.

Proud US Army Veteran 1965-1967. Retired Nassau County Police Officer from the 7th Precinct. John was a member of the Babylon Village Fire Department and marching band, NCPD Drum & Bugle Corp, and Boy Scouts of America troop in Babylon.

In his spare time, John enjoyed his time with the Boy Scounts, gardening, woodworking, and fishing. Family will receive friends at Claude R. Boyd-Spencer Funeral Home, 448 W. Main Street, Babylon on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 2-4:30pm & 7-9:30pm Funeral service at the funeral home 10am on Thursday, December 20, 2018. Interment to follow at North Babylon Cemetery.
