Obituary of John McHugh John ‘Jack’ A. McHugh passed away June 19, 2018 in Niagara Hospice House. Born March 28, 1939 in Buffalo he was the son of John J. and Angela (McNamara) McHugh. Jack worked for Harrison Radiator for 34 years where he worked various positions, retiring as a superintendent in 1993.

He was a member of All Saints Parish, the Corvette Club of Buffalo, Buick Club, and Elks Lodge. Jack also was appointed to Inter-Community Memorial Hospital’s (ICMH) Board of Directors in 1979, serving as the Chairman of the Board from 1992-1996. When the hospital affiliated, then later merged, with Lockport Memorial Hospital to become Eastern Niagara Hospital in 2008, Jack continued his tenure as a member of the Board of Directors.

He served on numerous committees, held various offices over the years and was instrumental in effecting the partnership with Lockport Memorial and his leadership in this capacity continued throughout his entire life. Jack enjoyed cars, loved boats, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. Jack is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nancy (Burrows) McHugh; children John (Kristin) McHugh, Angela Kettell, John Rode, and Charlene McDonald; grandchildren Alexander, Andrew, Olivia Kettell, Keira, Katelyn McHugh, and Brady, Taylor and Connor McDonald; sister late Ellen Rode; nieces and nephews John Burrows, Brian Burrows, Trisha Burrows, Amanda McCauley, and Justin Burrows.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, June 22nd from 3-8 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 23rd at 9 AM in All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
