MOORE, John, age 80, of Kettering passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018. He was born August 15, 1937 in Huntington, WV to Frank and Charlene (Tietd) Moore. John was a member of John C. Post Lodge Fraternal, Order of Police #44, and also a former Commandant of the Marine Lodge.

He loved to travel, especially camping, and always tried to stay busy going somewhere or doing something. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Moore; son, Jon D. Moore. John is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kathy; granddaughter, Samantha Moore; sister-in-law, Edith Moore; nieces, Debbie (Rod) Martin, Janice (Alan) Edinger; step-daughters, Debbie Baker, Connie (Jerry) Asbill; step-sons, Jeff (April) Hildebrand, Mark (Ammy) Hildebrand.

Family will greet friends from 6-8pm on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home Saturday, June 30 at 11am. Burial at David’s Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made in John’s name to Alzheimer’s Association, 31 W. Whipp Rd, Dayton, OH 45459.
