Obituary of John Hofbauer John “Jack” Hofbauer, 83, formerly of Kinnelon, NJ passed away on July 24, 2018. He was born on January 20, 1935 in Newark, NJ to the late John and Katherine (Doran) Hofbauer. John proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force during the Korean War.

He later worked for the Knights of Columbus in the insurance sales department. He and his wife were parishioners of Our Lady of Fatima Chapel in Pequannock. Jack was the beloved husband of Mary (Glashausser) Hofbauer for 57 years.

He was the adored father of Michael Hofbauer and his wife Leslie, John Hofbauer and his wife Buena, Paul Hofbauer and his wife Joanna and was predeceased by his daughter Teresa Blair and his son Joseph Hofbauer. Jack was the treasured grandfather of 22 grandchildren and the dear brother of AnneMarie Sheehan, the late Joan McLaughlin, the Mary Safka and the late Thomnas Hofbauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday, July 28th at 10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, 32 West Franklin Avenue, Pequannock, NJ 07440. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ 07936.
