Johnnie Edmunds Norris, 77, of Houston, Arkansas, died Thursday, November 29, 2018. Mrs. Norris was a native of Lake Village; a resident of Houston, Arkansas for the past eight years and a former resident of Strong and Hamburg. She owned and operated the Wells Grocery and Dairy Bar in Hamburg for many years, and she was a bookkeeper at Livingston Lumber Yard in Lake Village.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Edmunds in 1980; two granddaughters, Jessica Vestal in 2000 and Nikki Taylor in 2015; her parents, John and Bessie Wells Boyd and her sister, Virginia Cater. She is survived by her children, Tim Edmunds and wife, Brandi, of Oppelo; Jim Edmunds of Houston, Arkansas and Lisa Edmunds Bell of Morrilton; her brothers, John W. Boyd of Lake Village and David Boyd of Clarksville; two grandchildren, Chelsea Edmunds McMorrough and Taylor Edmunds Ratzlaff and three great-grandchildren Ayden, Brooklyn and Benjamin. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018, in the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro.

Joel Meredith officiating. A private burial will be in the Hamburg Cemetery. Pallbearers are Robert Taylor, Kole Maxwell, Seth Maxwell, Casey McMorrough, Brian Ratzlaff and Randell Wells.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 901 N. University Avenue, Little Rock, AR 72207. Visitation will be 1– 2 p.m., Sunday in the funeral home chapel.
