JONES, Johnny Edward, age 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, May 19, 2018 in Douglasville, Georgia. Born in Meridian, Mississippi. Johnny moved to Dayton at the age of 3.

Johnny retired from the City of Dayton-Water Division after 30 years of dedicated service. He also worked many years at Genuine Auto Parts. Preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Beverly W. Jones; parents, Jesse and Annie B. Jones.

He leaves to honor his memory, two children, Juan and Valita Jones; two grandchildren, Robert and Juanita; sister, Jessie Mae Gibson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Friday, May 25, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev.

Raleigh Thornton Jr. officiating. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am.

Johnny will be laid to rest, next to his wife at Woodland Cemetery.
