Mr. Johnny Lee Russell of Campbellsville quietly passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in Elizabethtown at the Kensington Manor Nursing Home. Born on September 9, 1949 to the late Willis and Ruby (Whited) Russell, he was 69 years, 5 months, and 17 days of age. Mr. Russell was a former employee of the Stokley-Van Kamp company in Indianapolis.

He was a outgoing and friendly man that loved to go dancing or camping, yet he found solace digging ginseng or working in a garden. He leaves to cherish his memory: One son: Tommy Russell and wife Tammy of Campbellsville, Two sisters: Sue Woods of Campbellsville, and Frances Bishop of Casey County, Two grandchildren: Travis Buckner and Cord Russell, Two great-grandchildren, And a host of other family and friends. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Russell.

Mr. Russell chose to be cremated. A memorial ride will be scheduled at a later date. Please consider memorials in the form of donations to the St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
