Obituary of Johnny Tucker Johnny “John” Harold Tucker, 87, of Woodville passed away Friday March 1, 2019. He was born March 11, 1931 in Woodville, Texas to the late John Henry Kirby Tucker and Muggie Fortenberry Tucker. John worked for Lacy Cattle Company in Alexandria Louisiana as a cattle buyer and retired as a US Postal Service rural carrier.

He also served in the US Army. He married the love of his life, Nita Tucker in Fort Worth, Texas July 11, 1958. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Juanita Allen Tucker of Woodville; mother-in-law, Hettie Mae Anderson; sons, Jimmy Tucker and wife Patti of Woodville, Jackie Tucker and wife Kristin of Woodville; adopted daughter Sherlyn Speed and husband Randy of Beaumont; grandchildren, Morgan Hoskins and husband Craig of Woodville, Drew Tucker and wife Michelle of Woodville, Darrell Tucker of Woodville, Braxton Tucker of Woodville, Jason Reynolds of Nederland, Jeremy Reynolds and wife Jeanie of Kirbyville, Jessica Williams and husband Jason of Colorado; great-grandchildren, Wende Martin and husband Logan, Kaleigh Hoskins, Tyler Hoskins, Brooke Hoskins, Abigail Dawson, Hayley Hoskins, Hunter Hoskins, Connor Hassig, Kaela Hassig, Cash Tucker, McCoy Tucker, Bryson Dockens, Kahley Denmon, Logan Smith; 9 great-great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Kirby and Muggie Tucker; brother, Carroll Tucker; and sister, Irene Beard. Serving as pallbearers will be Darrell Tucker, Randy Speed, Jason Reynolds, Jeremy Reynolds, Jeff Muckleroy, and Robert Muckleroy. Honorary pallbearers will be Drew Tucker, Doug Bell, Craig Hoskins, and Greg Russell.

A visitation will be held Saturday March 2, 2019 from 5-7PM at the Riley Funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be Sunday March 3, 2019 at 2PM at the Campground Church in Woodville followed by burial at Campground Cemetery.
