Obituary for Jolynn Kokinakes Jolynn “Jo” (Mercer) Kokinakes, age 54, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 13, 2018, at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She was born March 10, 1964, in Bowling Green Ohio, to Leon “Butch” Mercer (1922-1999) and Paula Jean (Riegle) Drew (1924 – 1993). She had three older brothers, Don, Tom and Doug (1962-1990).

She was a 1982 graduate of Perrysburg High School. She married Philip “Phil” John Kokinakes on February 16, 1985, in Honor, Michigan. Jolynn and Phil moved from Perrysburg, Ohio to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1999.

Jolynn loved spending time with her family, including all of her grand puppies. She was always there for her kids, showing them compassion and unconditional love. She truly was an amazing mother, soon to be grandmother and aunt that everyone wanted to be around.

She enjoyed going to fresh markets on the weekends, creating new recipes and cooking for her family. What an amazing cook she was! Jolynn is survived by her husband, Phil; her daughter Andrea, age 33, and Son Jason, age 31.

She is also survived by her brothers, Don Mercer, of Cygnet, Ohio and Tom Mercer, of Bowling Green, Ohio. She had a big and loving family filled with nieces and nephews. Any flower arrangements or cards please send to 120 Barcelona Drive, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411.

A family celebration of Jolynn’s life will be held at Elk Lake, Michigan in the spring/early summer of 2019. More details about the celebration of life to come.
