Jon was born to Edward Jesse Hathock and Lois VanCott on September 17, 1951 in American Fork Utah. He passed away on February 17, 2019 in his home in Hideaway Valley after a brief fight with cancer surrounded by family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father along with his wife of 48 years, Sevie Sue Hathcock and his daughter Jodie Korine Jackson.

Jon married Sevie Hathcock in 1971 in American Fork Utah and bought their first house is Spanish Fork Utah 19 years later they bought their dream home in Hideaway Valley in Sanpete county. Jon was a hard working man who retired after 29 years of working at Genevia Steel and worked another 10 years at Liberty Safe. He spent his retirement working on his and Sevies dream home until the time of his passing.

Jon was a loving son, brother, husband, and father and leaves behind two sons Jonnie Hathcock of Hideaway Valley Utah, Jesse Hathcock of Springville Utah, and a daughter Tawnia Fernandez of Florida. Jon has several grandchildren Brian, Raell, Courtney, Nicholas, Joseph, Stevie, Beau, and Zachary. He also leaves behind two sisters Barbara Smith of Logan Utah and Lola Wood of American Fork Utah and several nieces and nephews.

His services will be held on February 27, 2019 at 9:30 A.M at the Heber Family Funeral Home and the graveside service will be in Tabiona at 11:30.
