Obituary for Jonathan Lujan Alamosa and Pueblo resident Jonathan David Lujan, 34, passed away July 2, 2018 at the San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center in Alamosa. Jonathan was born in Alamosa, Colorado on November 10, 1983 to Brenda Lujan-Tackett and David Griego. He attended and graduated from Alamosa High School.
During his time in high school he played baseball and lettered all four years. Jonathan loved spending time with his children, family, and friends. He also enjoyed listening to music, studying astrology, and fishing.
He is survived by his children Damian, Zaryah and Kaylee Lujan; stepchildren Ilexya and RJ Meis, his mother Brenda and stepfather Tim Tackett of Pueblo West, CO; his siblings Krista Lujan-Beltran (Michael) of Pueblo West, Danielle Mondragon of Alamosa, Matthew Griego of Greeley, stepbrothers Doug (Liz), David (Alina), and TJ (Maureen) Tackett; stepsisters Renee Hodge, Jodi (Josh) Tackett, and Deidre (Joe) Tackett; his grandparents Cecilia Lujan-Ewing (Ronald) of Pueblo and Janet Griego; aunts and uncles Jessica (Johnny) Martin of Alamosa, Karen (Indio) Chavez of Pueblo and Shellie (Gerald) Romero of Alamosa; nieces and nephews: Jaydyn, Tommy, Gage Beltran and Isaiah and Leiah Montano; cousins: Ryan and Ashlee Martin, Brianna and Matthew Chavez; godparents Glen Pugh of Pueblo and Theresa White of Colorado Springs and numerous extended family and friends. Jonathan is preceded in death by his father David Griego, great-grandmother Sophia Gallegos-Medina, grandfathers Tommy Lujan and Leo Griego and his brother David Griego, Jr. A visitation will be held at the Rogers Family Mortuary, 205 State Avenue, Alamosa, Colorado on Friday, July 6, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. The funeral Service will also be held at Rogers Family Mortuary at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018. Cremation will follow services.
