Obituary for Jorge Galaviz Mission/Palmview, Texas Mr. Jorge Galaviz entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Jorge was 55 years old. Jorge was born on October 3, 1962 in Mexico to Jose Maria Galaviz and Maria Teresa (Rodriguez) Galaviz.

Jorge was a past resident of Dallas, Texas and a resident of Mission/Palmview for the past ten years. Jorge was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission. Jorge was preceded in death by his father and his son Jorge Galaviz, brothers and sisters-Martha Galaviz, Lucia Galaviz, Marisela Galaviz, and Arturo Galaviz.

Jorge is survived by his wife- Maria Pedroza Galaviz; Chidlren-Marisela Castruita, Ruby Galaviz, Nino Galaviz, Cynthia Pena-Sendejo, Natalie Pena-Gonzalez; Siblings- Teresita, Jovita, Manuela, Dora Leticia, Sergio, Armando, Jose Maria, Oscar, Javier; 11 grandchildren. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rivera Funeral Home, 1813 N. Conway in Mission on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 7:00 pm. Celebration of life Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Misison.

Interment will follow to Valley Memorial Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Rivera Funeral Home in Mission. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Jorge Galaviz please visit our Sympathy Store.
