OBITUARY Jose Genaro Ventura Fuentez September 8, 1935 – October 15, 2018 Jose Genaro Ventura Fuentez, 84 of Williamsburg, VA, passed away on October 15, 2018. He served in the Honduras Military during the Futbol War, and worked in the National Department of Investigations in Honduras as a detective/sergeant. Mr. Ventura, or Sergeant Ventura as he was well known, was respected by everyone who knew him.
A man of sweet and humble countenance and a great smile who enjoyed being neatly dressed. He will be remembered by a man who dressed sharp by all who loved him. “Until we meet again”.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa Marina Flores; sons, Daniel Lagos (Sandra), Jose Alberto Ventura (Mary), Juan Adolfo Ventura (Margarita), and Mario Francisco Ventura; daughters, Nohemy Ventura (William), Norma Erekson (David), Gloria Nassar (Jose Luis), Lourdes Ventura and Yamileth Ventura (Hector); and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA. Mr. Ventura sirvio en el servicio military de Honduras durante la Guerra de Futbol y trabajo en el Departamente National de Investigaciones en Honduras como detective/sargento. Mr. Ventura, o Sargento Ventura como siempre fue conocido, fue muy respetado por todos los que lo conocieron.
Un hombre de semblante dulce y humilde, con una gran sonrisa, que disfruto siempre de vestir bien y nitido, siempre sera recordado por eso y sera muy extranado por todos los que le amamos. “Hasta vernos de Nuevo”. Lo sobreviven su esposa, Elsa Marina Flores; hijos, Daniel Lagos (Sandra), Jose Alberto Ventura (Mary), Juan Adolfo Ventura (Margarita), y Mario Francisco Ventura; hijas, Nohemy Ventura (William), Norma Erekson (David), Gloria Nassar (Jose Luis), Lourdes Ventura and Yamileth Ventura (Hector); sus nietos y biznietos.
