Jose Lopez Gutierrez, 79, passed away February 23, 2019 in El Paso, Texas. He was born to Jose Lopez Armendariz and Librada Lopez Gutierrez in Durango, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Manuel Lopez and sister Delia Lopez.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Catalina Colon Aguero, sons, Jose Lopez, Jr., Javier Antonio Lopez, Daniel Lopez, daughters, Olga Lopez, Maria del Socorro Lopez, Librada “Lala” Lopez, Carmen Lopez, Rosa Elena Lopez, Maribel Jimenez, Patricia Lopez, 35 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, brother, Filiberto “Lupe” Lopez, sisters, Trinidad Lopez, Herminia Mendiola. A visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home-Americas, 9521 North Loop Dr. with a vigil/rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 4, 2019 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
