Joseph A. Langton 92, passed away peacefully on Monday December 3, 2018. Joe was born in Kittery, ME. Married 68 years, he was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth.

He is survived by his four sons and their wives: Joseph “Bruce” (Nancy); Jay (Sue); Mark (Diane); Michael (Sue); his older sister Charlotte Lynch age 94 and 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Joe proudly served in the Army Air Force during WWII and was a graduate of the University of New Hampshire. He was employed by IBM Endicott for 28 years, retiring in 1984.

Joe was a dedicated father and husband who loved spending time with his wife traveling in their motorhome and going on annual fishing trips with his sons. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff at Hilltop/JGJ Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM, at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc, 428 Main St, Johnson City with Pastor Scott Willson officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00–7:00 PM, at the Barber Memorial Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maine Fire Department, in Maine, NY.
