Joseph Anthony Stinson January 18, 1933 – December 24, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Joseph Anthony Stinson, 85, of Christy Park, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 24, 2018. He was born January 18, 1933 in Dravosburg and was the son of the late Raymond and Geniveve (Redding) Stinson. He was the loving husband of the late Charlane M. (Fritz) Stinson who passed away December 31, 1998.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and the Holy Name Society there. He was also a member of White Oak American Legion Post 701. Joseph was a US Army Veteran and served during the Korean War.

He was retired from US Steel Clairton Works. He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn (Gary Traczynski) Stinson of McKeesport, Monica (Rob Weimer of White Oak) Kushner of Port Vue, Susan (Robert) Rajcsok of White Oak and Colleen (Gerard) Whitney of North Huntingdon, grandchildren, Joseph Stinson, Katie (Conny) Molander, Alex Rajcsok, Kevin (Nicole Elias) Kushner, Shannon Mosqueda, Rachel Rajcsok, Sara Stinson, and Shain Mosqueda, great-grandchildren, Jayce, Caleb, Sophia, and Owen, sister, Mary Schmidt of Level Green, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Raymond, Edward and William Stinson ,and sisters, Anne McLaughlin, Stella Minyon, Helen Grace and Eileen Albensi.

Friends are welcome Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 1638 Lincoln Way, White Oak. (412) 672-6322 Troy J. Gilbert, Director. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 am, in Corpus Christi Parish.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at 412-208-3550.
