Joseph E. Reilly, 81 of Huguenot passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born Sunday, April 24, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph Reilly and the late Alice Gibbs Reilly. Joseph, raised in Brooklyn, attended Chelsea Tech High School, and moved to Staten Island in 1981 with his wife Mary Patricia, settling in Huguenot.

Joseph was a US Marine Veteran, and was also a NYS Court Officer for the NYS Supreme Court for over 25 years retiring in 1995. Joe was member of the Knights of Columbus-LaSalle Council and a member of the Richmond County Gun Club. Joes interests included Cars, car shows, Motorcycles and travelling with his wife and children, but most importantly was spending time with his grandchildren, Family was everything to him.

He was the devoted husband of 32 years to the late Mary Patricia Reilly, who passed away in 1996. Loving father of Theresa Reilly , Kathleen Walter and Carolyn Marcello, Dear father in law of Jeff Walter and Paul Marcello. Adored brother of Charlie Reilly, Mary Pernicone, and John Reilly.

Cherished grandfather of 5 grand children ~ Brianna, Julianna, Matthew, Ryan and Luke. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St Joseph’s Church (Rossville) located at 16 Poplar Ave Staten Island, New York 10309. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, May 2, 2019, and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday May 3, 2019 at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc.. , 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
