Of Whitaker, on January 19, 2019, age 81. Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Virginia M. “Ginny” Lesko (Moffat); son of the late Nicholas and Susan Lesko; loving father of Denise (Gene) Fawcett, Nanette (Jim) Harrison and Joseph N. (Jennifer) Lesko; brother of John (Agnes) Lesko and the late Mary Ann (husband, Ed, survives) Threlkeld; cherished grandfather of Jason (Cindy) Fawcett, Nikkie (Andy) Nigro, Jessie Harrison, Jimmy Harrison and Sarah Lesko; great-grandfather of Sloan and Sam Nigro, Allison Kropff, Tayla (Brendan) Kavanaugh, McKenzie Hunt and Demi (Edwin) Nelson; also survived by nieces and nephews. Joe owned and operated Lesko Plumbing and Heating.

He was a providing and supporting father and grandfather, a member of WMSA Football Club, and enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and bike riding. Joe was an avid gardener and planted to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. He was known for his catch phrases and his last words to his family were La vita e’ bella.

Family and friends received Savolskis-Wasik-Glenn Funeral Home, Inc., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, Friday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10 am, St. Rita Church, Munhall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
