Joseph Joe Mohrmann November 04, 1942 – May 17, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Joseph” Joe” Mohrmann passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at 6:22 am in Delray Beach , Florida. He was born to Joseph and Marie on November 4, 1942 in Queens, New York. He graduated from East New York High School and was a New York City police officer for 18 years until he retired.

He also owned his own bicycle store in Smithtown, New York which he loved. He leaves as his legacy his children Gregg and Mark Mohrmann his wife, Alexandra and his new granddaughter, Evangeline. He also leaves behind his wife Susan and children Missy and Dave Aronow, Sandy and Jim Bergquist, Kevin Meltcher and Cori with seven loving grandchildren, Michael, Ben, Trey, Drew, Aaron, Shane and Sydney.

He is also survived by his sister, Barbara and his brother in-law Jimmy. He was pre-deceased by his sister Pat. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather.

He was always smiling with a hearty contagious laugh. He loved anything to do with food, whether it be a restaurant or a TV program. He was an avid bowler, loved boating and fishing and never missed his Sunday football.

The funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Beth David Cemetery in Elmont, New York. A reception will follow at the Stop 20 Diner. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the organizations that made a difference in his last year, The Volen Center at www.
