Obituary for Joseph L Reese Joseph “Joe” L. Reese, age 83, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away July 19, 2018. Joseph was born to John and Dorothy Rose (nee Harper) Reese on July 19, 1935 in Newport, Tennessee. He married Juanita (nee Hollin) Reese and together they were blessed with six children.

Joe was a member at the Snow Lodge #193 and was a member of the Scottish Rite. He also served as a Private in the United States Army and was a member at the American Legion Post #199. Joe worked at Super X Drug Store as a manager of the Harrison store and was there for multiple years until he retired to become an antique picker with his wife.

He enjoyed finding antiques and would even travel to appraiser shows. While Joe and Juanita weren’t out “picking”, he enjoyed refinishing furniture and showing off the treasures he had found. Joe is preceded in death by his Loving wife: Juanita (nee Hollin) Reese; his Beloved parents: John and Dorothy Rose (nee Harper) Reese; and brother: John Reese.

Those left to carry on Joe’s legacy is his Dear children: Shelly Mooney, Shari Hill, Joe (Holly) Reese, Mike (Tami) Reese, Tammy (Doyle) Johnson, and Ray “Speedy” (Teresa Bolinger) Smith; Cherished sister: June Sawyer; Special friend: Vicki Simpson; as well as 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thank you to the loving and caring staff at DaVita Dialysis. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 11 AM until the time of the Masonic Services at 1 PM followed by Scottish Rite Ring Service, then a Celebration of Joe’s Life with Bud Jones officiating at Brater-Winter Funeral Home, 201 S. Vine Street, Harrison, OH 45030.

Burial will be to follow at Glen Haven Cemetery in Harrison, Ohio with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all memorials are made to Hospice of Cincinnati. You can mail memorials to the funeral home or bring your donation at the time of the visitation and a funeral home representative will help you.
