Joseph Michael Bellon, 96, of Ridgeway, fell asleep in death on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys, Pa. He was born Monday, August 14, 1922 in Tinsmills, Pa. , the son of the late Zvonimir and Barbara Kovocovic Bellon.

He was an United States Army veteran serving with the 2nd Armored Division in the European Theater during World War II. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Eagles. He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and liked watching the Steelers, Pirates and Penquins.

He is survived by his children, Michael Bellon and his wife, Sandra, of Brightwood, Virginia and Denea West of Sedona, Arizona, 5 grandchildren, Kristen Thompson (Bellon) and her husband , Evan, of Culpeper, Va. , Joseph William Bellon and his wife, April, of Carlsbad, Ca. , Joshua Michael Bellon and his wife, Hannah, of Escondido, Ca.

, Jeremy Joseph West of Colorado Springs, Co., and Hillary West Jahn and her husband, Trevor, of Maui, Hi. , 2 great grandchildren, Jonathan James Bellon and Rohne Connor Jahn and a brother, Paul Bellon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Frank, Milan and Swan Bellon and 2 sisters, Luby Kotts and Milred Beveridge.

Per Joseph’s request, all services are private. Interment will be at Westview Cemetery in Avonmore. All arrangements were entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave.
