Mickey was born on May 26, 1928 in Sunnyside, New York to Joseph Michael and Agnes Margaret McCarthy. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy McCarthy.

Loving father of Paul McCarthy and his wife Dawn, Eileen Castells and her husband Ivan, Ann Auld, Christine McCarthy, Patricia Farrelly and her husband Joseph, James McCarthy, and his wife Doreen, Regina Hodel and her husband William, Matthew McCarthy and his wife Tawnya. Adored Grandfather of 13 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Dear brother of Robert McCarthy and his wife the late Frances, and the late Gerald McCarthy and his wife Kathleen.
