Obituary for Mr. Joseph P. Urbanik Joseph P. Urbanik, age 68, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 in Elmhurst, IL. Loving son of the late Joseph J. Urbanik and the late Pauline nee Gris; dear brother of Christina and Mary Ellen; fond nephew and cousin to many. Joseph was a longtime employee of the U.S. Postal Service, a local writer and playwright, and a member of the Chicago Dramatist Workshop for over 20 years.

Several of his plays were produced, notably; “The Fan Club,” “God Shed His Grace,” and “American as Cherry Pie”. Joseph tutored English as a second language at Elmhurst Library. He was a proud Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bulls fan.

Joseph will be remembered as generous, as well as a confidant, and a protector to those in need. He will be missed by many. Memorial Visitation Thursday at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Ave.
