Joseph Paul Monk (Joe Paul), age 69, died on Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 in Fort Worth, Tx. Born July 24th, 1949, in Royse City, Tx, he was a father, brother and friend to many. Jovial and having never met an enemy, he lived his life serving others and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

Full of spirit and a zest for people, he was a grounded oak tree in which many have leaned. He is preceded in death by his father, Arvid Newton Monk, mother Fernande Monk and brother, Christopher Monk. Joe Paul is survived by his daughter Annette Langford and her husband Charles Langford, son Jonathan Paul Monk and his wife Jennifer Monk, brother Michael Monk and his wife Teresa Monk, four grandchildren, Jordan Langford, Hannah Langford, Madilyn Monk and Jensen Paul Monk, niece Sondra Kay Stewart, nephews David Bailey and Brandon Monk and great niece Michaela Larson.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, 200 E. Patton Ave, Alvarado, TX 76009, with Pastor Steve Vanzantofficiating. Visitation for family will be held from 11:00am to 12:00pm and visitation for friends will be held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm Saturday, prior to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to support the Christmas and Santa Land projects at Fort Worth Christian Center at www.
