Joseph’s Obituary Joseph “Joey” M. Remkus, age 57, late of South Holland, IL, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 28, 2019. Dearest brother of Robert C. Remkus, Joanne M. (David) Smith, and Julie A. (Steven) Smith. Kind uncle of Elizabeth (Christopher) Ruderschmidt, Victoria (Robert) McMahon, Suzanne Smith, and Michael Smith.

Preceded in death by his parents Joseph R. and Mary T. Remkus. Visitation Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL.

Funeral Mass Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Holy Ghost Catholic Church 700 E. 170th St. South Holland, IL. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery – Alsip, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions c/o Julie Smith, appreciated.
