Obituary for Joseph T. Matson MATSON JOSEPH T., passed away on December 12, 2018 in Cocoa, Florida. He was born and raised in Clementon, NJ and eventually moved to Florida. U.S. Army-Airborne “Boots on ground” Vietnam War Veteran.

Joe worked in his family business, Matson’s “Schwinn” Cycle shop alongside his parents for 20 years. Joseph will best be remembered as a beard wearing, Marlboro reds smoking, work boot wearing kind and gentle man with a loving heart. Beloved husband of 46 years to Carol Ann Matson; loving father of David (Justine) Bowker, Daniel (Angela) Matson and dear father figure to Mark Gilliland and Tee both of Cocoa, FL; grandfather of Daniel Jr. and Samantha “Sammy”, Benjamin, Allie, Nick and Madelyn; brother of Samuel (Cleva) and Ruth “Bonnie” (Ernie).

He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation Friday eve 6-8pm at the Chapel of the Four Chaplains, 1201 Constitution Ave. Phila.

, PA 19112. Religious services will begin at 8pm. Burial will be held at a later date at Brigadier General Blake Doyle National Cemetery located in Florence, NJ.
