Josephine M. Brusca, 78, of Lady Lake, Florida, loving wife, caring mother, cherished daughter, sister, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, was called to the Lord, Monday, May 20, 2019. She was born on October 15, 1940, in Glasgow, Scotland, the oldest of 6 children to George and Mary Renton. She moved to the United States with her family in 1949, where they lived in Brooklyn and Queens.

She met and married her husband Richard in Brooklyn and shortly thereafter they decided to leave Brooklyn to raise their family in New Jersey, settling in Howell and then Holmdel, and retiring in Spring Lake. Josephine had a successful 25 year career in real estate before retiring. She was always up to trying new and exciting things.

She was an avid tennis and pickleball player, enjoyed water aerobics, yoga, astrology and the beach. She was proud of her Irish and Scottish heritage and especially loved Irish dancing. Josephine touched the lives of many people.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her children, family and friends that knew her. Josephine was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Renton, her husband Richard Brusca, a son Paul Brusca, a brother George Renton and a son-in-law Richard Gann. She leaves behind two sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Denise Brusca, and Stephen and Erica Brusca; a daughter Denise Gann; a brother James Renton; three sisters, Anne Renton, Marie Rothenwander, and Rosaleen Reisert; her six grandchildren, Jessica Jones, Anthony Brusca, Michael Gann, Gianna Brusca, Joseph Brusca, Gabriella Brusca and a great-grandson Jackson Jones.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the Waitt Funeral Home, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2019, 10:15 am at St. Leo the Great Church, Lincroft, followed by interment in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
