Josephine’s Obituary 1923 – 2018 NOVAK Josephine P. Novak, age 95, of Chester, passed away on October 30, 2018 at her home with her family near. Wife of the late Walter, mother of the late Lorraine Novak Bihler, and sister of the late Pearl. Mrs. Novak was an active member of St. Hedwigs Parish.

During WWII she was a crane operator at Penn Steel. Then she became a homemaker. After raising her family, she went back to work at the Greater Chester Movement.

Then she worked for 15+ years at Tyldine Weirs in Chester before retiring. After retiring, she became a long time volunteer of the West End Senior Citizens Center of Chester. Josephine’s home and family were very important to her and she enjoyed gardening and knitting.

Loving mother of James J. & Walter J. Novak, grandmother of James G., Michael W., and Christopher J. Novak, Aurora Bihler, and Buddy Johnson. Sister of Joseph and Vincent Melchiorre and Merlanda Cogan-Read. Relatives and Friends may attend a visitation on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 9:00AM at St. Hedwigs Church, 2623 West 4th Street, Chester, PA 19013.

Funeral Mass, 10:00AM, Interment Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery, Linwood.
