She was born in Savannah, GA on June 25, 1937 to the late Louis and Susie White, Sr. Josephine Stewart Byrd leaves to cherish her memories husband Eddie Byrd, Sr She was preceded in death by her daughter Vivian Ann Smith.

She also leaves to cherish her life three daughters; Gretta Green (David), Linda Jenkins and Doris Williams (Franklin); five sons, John Smith, Kenneth Smith, Michael Tate all of Savannah, GA; Tony White (Debbie) and Vincent Stewart (O’nita); two stepchildren Harold Byrd and Annette Johnson; two brothers, Louis White Jr (Lizzie) and Wilbert White; a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
