Obituary of Joseph Murtin Joseph Robert Murtin of Pennsauken, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday April 19, 2018. Joseph was born July 17, 1935 in Mahanoy City, PA to Margaret and James Murtin. Joe was a 3 sport athlete at Mahanoy Area H/S graduating in 1953.
He was a proud Veteran of the US Army. Joe was a plant manager for Sun Chemical where he worked for 40 plus years. He was an avid Eagles fan and a long-time member of Pennsauken Country Club.
He enjoyed daily crossword puzzles, running and traveling. Most importantly, family was everything to him, and he will be greatly missed by those who loved him. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dolores “Lorri” (nee Mammarella); his children Sharon (Tom) McDonnell, Joseph (Debbie) Murtin, Robert (Mary Pat) Murtin, Maria (Anthony) Micale; and the late Dominic Murtin; Cherished grandfather of 11 and great grandfather of 2; Dear brother of John and the late Joanne & Jim; Also survived by many caring nieces &nephews.
Relatives & friends are invited to the Visitation & Funeral on Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 PM and Thursday from 9:30 to 11:15 AM at Mary Queen of All Saints Church, 4824 Camden Ave. in Pennsauken. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe’s memory can be made to: Camden Catholic H/S basketball: 300 Cuthbert Blvd, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
