OBITUARY Josie Morales June 2, 1945 – January 6, 2019 Josie Garza Morales, age 73, passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on January 6th, 2019. She was born June 2nd, 1945 in Del Rio, Texas to Jose and Petra Garza. She graduated from Central High School in 1965 and shortly thereafter married Mario Morales Sr. of Menard, Texas on November 7th, 1965.

They were married for 53 years and together they had four wonderful children- Jose Mario Morales, Jr., Michael Morales, Melinda Torrez, and Michelle Perez. Josie retired from Ethicon after 30 years and she enjoyed traveling with her husband and sisters, cooking for her family every Sunday, & watching them all grow up. Josie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be deeply missed by all her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Josie Garza Morales is survived by her loving husband, Mario Morales, Sr., son Jose Mario Morales, Jr. & wife Francisca of Leander, Texas, daughter Melinda Torrez & Ray Torrez, daughter Michelle Perez & husband Mario Perez from San Angelo, Texas. Grandchildren, Michael Morales, Courtney & Raeleigh Torrez, Atalie & Desiree Perez, and Gregory, Lauren, and Leonidas Morales. Greatgranddaughter Blake Henry.

She is preceded in death by her son, Michael Morales and by her parents Jose & Petra Garza. A rosary will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7 PM in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Michael Morales and Gregory Morales and nephews, Joe Ben Garza, Martin Garza, Roy Perez and Ray Perez.
