Joy (Patton) Steele, age 85, passed from this life on September 17, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Ok. She was born on February 15, 1933 to Jack Thomas and Zelma Annie (Jennings) Patton at Clarita, OK. Joy graduated from Clarita High School.

She was a housewife and a loving mother. Joy married Albert Guy (Sam) Steele on August 2, 1949 and their perfect union lasted until Sam’s death earlier this year. Joy was a member of the Baptist faith.

She loved to cook, sew and create. Sam was a teacher and school… Read More » superintendent, and Joy worked to make a happy and comfortable home wherever they lived. Joy was a faithful and true friend.

Anyone who knew her treasured her. She was a good and loving wife and a wonderful mother. Joy is survived by son, Mike Steele and wife Carol; granddaughters, Tina Hanna and husband Kevin, Lillian Steele; grandsons, Kris Steele and wife Kellie, Thad Gorczyca and wife Gabrielle; great grandchildren, Grace, Faith, Hope, Mackenzie, Madison, Adrian and Jack; along with her treasured nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services will be Thursday, September 20, 2018, 1:00 PM at Jones Baptist Church, 320 S.W. 3rd St. in Jones OK. Services will be conducted by Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City, OK.
