Joyce’s Obituary Fremont, NH: Joyce E. (Goldthwaite) Spero, 78, died peacefully at her home in Fremont on May 15, 2019. Born in Exeter, NH, the daughter of the late Everard and Janice (Robinson) Goldthwaite, she grew up in Danville and attended Sanborn Regional High School, graduating as a member of the Class of 1959. Joyce was always known as “mom” to her children’s friends and classmates.

She enjoyed gardening and crafts, especially working with silk flowers, making many arrangements over the years for weddings and special occasions. A few years her joy for decorating and talent for creating wreaths earned her the honor of best-decorated front door for Christmas. Joyce also loved to bake for her family, her specialty was a scrumptious pumpkin roll.

However, above all else, she loved her family, especially her two granddaughters. Joyce will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her son and daughter-in-law Michael and Catherine Spero of Kingston, brothers Richard Goldthwaite and his wife Christine of Danville and Thomas Goldthwaite and his wife Esther of Florida, granddaughters Vanessa and Jillian Spero, former husband Richard Spero, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her son Christopher Spero and long-time companion David Neily.

Relatives and friends are invited to Joyce’s Life Celebration to be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 4 to 6 PM at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow, NH. Her funeral service will follow at 6:15 PM in the funeral home.
