Joyce E. Looker, age 73, of Alexandria, died on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Bethany on the Lake in Alexandria. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2019, at Lind Family Funeral Home in Alexandria with Rev. Ralph Erickson officiating.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Joyce Elaine was born on October 7, 1945, to Louis and Esther (Chell) Nehk in Fergus Falls where she attended public schools. Joyce was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Mrnak.

Following their marriage, they moved to Dillworth for several years where she worked at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota. Following the death of her son, Scott, she moved to Alexandria in 1972. She was united in marriage to David Koep in Alexandria.

Following their marriage, they moved to Parkers Prairie in 1973, where she worked at St. William’s Living Center. In the mid 2000’s, Joyce moved to Alexandria. She was united in marriage to Donald Looker on May 21, 2010, in Sisseton, South Dakota.

She always loved a good party where she played guitar and sang. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed watching movies, especially on the lifetime channel. She was fond of dogs and loved country music.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Scott; husband, Donald Looker; three brothers, Raymond, Morris and Danny; son-in-law, Lowell Cordes; and brother-in-law, Evan Kastet. Joyce is survived by her son, Kenneth (Melinda) Mrnak, of New London; daughter, Tina (Jamie) Vaughan of Otter Tail; two brothers, Louis (Mardell) Nehk of Alexandria and Gary (Nancy) Nehk of Pine River; sister, Marilyn Kastet of Moorhead; sister-in-law, Faye Nehk, Las Vegas, Nevada; grandson, Elijah Vaughan; many nieces and nephews; step-son, Alexander (Maggie Sutton) Looker of St. Louis Park; step-daughters, Rebecca (Gary) Yttrie of Delano, Veronica (Scott) Turchin of Parkers Prairie, Jessica (James) Dahl of Frazee, and Miranda (Meagan) Looker of Bertha; along with many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
