Whiteville, NC Joyce Faye Joplin Jones, age 80, formerly of Loris, SC, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018, in her home. Born June 10, 1938 in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Joplin and Mary Artavia “Tovie” Hancock Joplin and the widow of James Harold Jones. She is survived by three daughters: Vanessa Jones of Whiteville, NC, Janice Hewitt of Green Sea, SC, Sonia Jones of Loris, SC; one son: Rondal Jones of Indian Trail, NC; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Danny Ray Jones; two sisters: Eunice Joplin Smothers, Anna Belle Joplin Jenkins; and two brothers: Wilson Joplin and Joe Carol Joplin. Visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 6 PM to 8 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held following the service at 3:00 PM in the Fairview Church Cemetery, Mount Croghan, SC. Inman Ward Funeral Home of Tabor City and Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, SC are serving the Jones family.
