OBITUARY Joyce Gainey “Jobie” Baston December 26, 1942 – August 31, 2018 Joyce Gainey “Jobie” Baston, of Summerville wife of Dan Baston, owner of Auto Salvage Company entered into eternal rest Friday August 31, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Moncks Corner, SC , a daughter of the late Leroy Gainey and Sue Ard Gainey. She graduated from Chicora High school, class of 1960.

She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and retired bookkeeper with Gainey Auto Parts and owner of Auto Salvage Company. The relatives and friends of Joyce Baston are invited to attend her funeral services on Sunday September 2, 2018 at 2 pm at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12 to 2 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Danny Carlton Baston, children: Susan Baston Gilmore (Mark) and Michael Carlton Baston (Kelli), Jobie’s grandchildren are: Eleanor Anne “Ellie” Gilmore, Marshall Baston, Emaline “Emmie” Baston and Claire Gilmore, siblings: Roy Gainey (Linda), Steve Gainey and sister in law Kelli Kinsman. The family would like to thank Jill Funk, Mark Uhler and Ashley Anderson for the outstanding care given to Jobie and her family. Flowers accepted or donations may be made in Jobie’s honor to: Regency Hospice, 2171 Ashley Phosphate Rd, Suite 110, North Charleston, SC 29406.
