Joyce I. (Nawman) Thom passed away on Monday, May 27, 2019 at Perham Living in Perham, MN at the age of 92 years. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Interment will be in the Perham Village Cemetery.

Joyce was born in Oriska, ND to Jonas & Tracy (Heinize) Nawman on December 7, 1926. She graduated from Oriska High School. Joyce was united in marriage to Warren Thom on June 1, 1954.

Their marriage was blessed with two children. Joyce and Warren lived in several places including Green Bay, WI, Minneapolis, MN and Detroit, MI. In Crookston, MN they owned and operated a dry-cleaning and laundry business.

They made Big Pine Lake their home in 1996 upon retirement. Joyce worked for Red River Valley Hospice and for Nelson Confections along with being a Mary Kay consultant. She enjoyed playing cards, baking and bird watching.

Every fall she loved to make tomato juice. Joyce is survived by her two sons Gary and Greg. Preceding Joyce in death were her parents; husband Warren (2017); and her brother Virgil Nawman.
