Joyce Lynn Rakauskas, resident of Melrose Park, IL, passed away on September 16th 2018 at the age of 61. She was born on April 30th, 1957 in Chicago, IL. She grew up in Franklin Park, IL until she married her husband Paul in June of 1978.

She touched many people’s lives through working at her children’s school and scouting. Some of her favorite things were crocheting, baking, making crafts, anything Christmas, pandas and the color purple. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 40 years Paul Rakauskas, her sons Matthew (Diana) Rakauskas, Jason (Tiffany) Rakauskas, her daughter Melissa (Josh) Kraus, her sister Sandra Kanies, her grandchildren Hannah, Grace, Valerie, Lucy and Ruthie, and her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Muriel and Milton Kanies, and her sister Donna Baker. In lieu of flowers donations to Lutheran Church Charities Comfort Dog Ministry would be greatly appreciated.
