Joyce Marie Bartlett Kimmons entered the gates of heaven on January 28, 2019, surrounded by her family. To celebrate her life of 81 years, Family and Friends will gather together at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Lubbock Baptist Temple at 3215 60th Street, Lubbock, Texas. Joyce Marie Bartlett Kimmons was born on January 18, 1938, in Bethany, Missouri, to Orville and Lucile Bartlett.

She married the love of her life, William E. Kimmons, on October 27, 1956. They had 61 wonderful years together and raised six children, all of whom she is survived by, including Dixie and Ken Mull of Wolfforth, Tx, Lora and Derue Southerland of Lubbock, Tx, Gina and Bobby Tripp of Cadiz, Ky, Tina Whitfield of Wolfforth, Tx, Carla and Alvin Hill of Mt. Juliet, Tn, and William (Bo) and Catina Kimmons of Lubbock, Tx, along with 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, two sisters Janice Heft and Wilma Lovitt, and two brothers Alan Bartlett and Paul Bartlett.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Kimmons who died February 22, 2018, as well as by her Father, Mother, three sisters, and one brother. Joyce had many loves in her life. She enjoyed listening to old church hymns and old-time preaching.

She truly loved sewing for her family and friends, and she loved Nascar races. Her favorite Nascar driver was Tony Stewart #14. Her biggest love was spending time just talking and loving on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Her family was of the utmost importance to her and she always put her family first.
