Joyce E. Montgomery, 86, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully on May 12, 2019. She was born on December 6, 1932 in Aurora, IL to Arthur and Rose (nee Oberoberger) Peck. On December 18, 1954 she was united in marriage to Allen E. Montgomery, they celebrated 27 year of marriage until is passing in 1982.

She was an avid gardener, bowler, sports fanatic, and card and domino player. She worked at Countryside Florist for over 20 years and later on at Jewel-Osco. Joyce will be deeply missed by her loving children, Sharon Kristensen, Janet (Robert) Walsh, Joann (Rick) Utech, Robert (Denise) Montgomery, Dean (John Kristich) Montgomery; grandchildren, Sarah Lincoln (Aaron) Cool, Nicholas and Anthony Kristensen, Kyle (Maribeth) and Cody Kuebler, John (Emma) Walsh, Erik and Maggie Utech; great-grandchildren, JoElle Cool, Daiman Kristensen; siblings, Stan (Barbara) Peck and Margie (David) Tate.

The family wishes to express their thanks and appreciation for Joyce’s nurse, Patti Dean. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by, her parents; and her siblings, Russell, Donald, Art, Charlene, and Thelma. Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2019, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave.

(Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service at the funeral home.

Burial to follow at Crystal Lake Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JourneyCare Foundation, 2050 Claire Ct. , Glenview, IL 60025, www.
