On December 7, 2018, after an almost two-year battle with cancer, Joye Miller – beautiful and amazing mother – Nora and Sloan’s Mimi – one of the strongest women we’ve ever known went home to be with Jesus. There’s a party going on in heaven as she is renewed, reunited with family, and in the presence of her savior. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Spindle and survived by her Mother Janice Spindle, husband David Miller, children Kelli & Kyle Korn, Justin & Lissa Miller, Grandchildren Nora & Sloan Miller, Jade & Skylar Korn.

In her lifetime, there were no places in the world she didn’t intend to see. She traveled the globe from Alaska to Tahiti, Panama to Spain, Mexico to Greece. Between trips, she was dedicated to her career as an office professional.

Most notably, she supported the staff and students at Daniel C. Oakes High School from 2001-2017, from where she retired. The greatest joy of her life was her grandchildren – she loved crafting with them, learning with them, reading to them, being with them. At a moment’s notice, she would drop everything to care for each of them, and she never missed an opportunity to pour into each of their lives.

Joye touched the lives of many in her time on earth. Please join us in celebrating her life on December 12, 2018 at Highline Community Church. Viewing will be at 10AM, Celebration Service at 11AM.

Joye will be interred at Fairmount Cemetery.
