He is survived by his father, Juan Gutierrez; siblings: Lydia (Jerry) Daniels, Araceli (Kenneth) Wojciechowski, Anna Gutierrez, late Abram Gutierrez, Deborah Gutierrez, Juan Carlos Gutierrez, Esteban Gutierrez, Juan Pablo Gutierrez, Elizabeth Gutierrez and Angel Gutierrez; Alma Valdez, Erenderia (Ricardo) Arriaga, Edith (Matthew) Zummach, Juan Antonio Valdez, Jr., Aaron Valdez and Ruth (Israel) Acklin; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his mother, Maria Olga Valdez.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the FIFE FUNERAL HOME, 4201 Indianapolis Blvd. , East Chicago, IN. Juan was a chef and fashionista who loved to entertain and was always the life of the party.
