Juan Manuel Martinez , June 10, 1952 — October 15, 2018

Memorial service for Juan Martinez will be held at 3pm October 27,2018 at Flint Avenue Baptist Church. Juan Manuel “John” Martinez, 66, of Lubbock, passed away on Monday October 15, 2018 peacefully at his home. He was born on June 10, 1952 to Manuel and Juanita Salinas in San Benito, Texas.

He was a loving husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a truck driver for P&A Trucking in Seminole for many years. He was loved by all, and he was a friend to everyone he came across.

He always joked around and like to make people laugh, He loved music. He loved to play his bajo to guitar at his church up until he was no longer able to play. He enjoyed singing with his brothers, son and grandson on stage, dancing with his wife, but most of all, he loved all of his family without a doubt.

Not a day went by that he was not smiling. He is preceded in death by his father and mother. He is survived by his wife, Maria Esmeralda Martinez.

4 sons, John Gabriel, George, Jason and Julian Daniel, all of Lubbock. A daughter, Michelle Garcia, of Arlington, Texas. 5 step daughters and 5 step sons.

4 brothers, 7 sisters, 37 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews.
