OBITUARY Juanita Miller Jacobs June 3, 1951 – September 5, 2018 Juanita Miller Jacobs, 67, passed away on September 5th in Austin with her loving family by her side. Juanita was born in Groom, Texas to OJ Miller and Mildred Baggerman Miller on June 3, 1951. She attended Grandview School, and graduated from Pampa High School in 1969.

While earning a Home Economics degree from Texas Tech University she met and married Henry Jacobs. They raised their family in Austin. Juanita was a giver, always putting others first before herself.

Anytime she saw someone in need, she unselfishly did whatever she could to help. Juanita loved children and after a year of teaching kindergarten, she earned a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Texas. She continued her teaching career for another 36 years educating preschool children.

She started her own school, V.I.P. Preschool, which she ran out of her own home for 24 years. Juanita loved to travel and enjoyed many destinations along the way. When she retired in 2014 she took many road trips to spend time with friends and family.

She especially enjoyed visiting Stratford and helping her brother with his corn harvest. Juanita was a member of the Cedar Park First United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at the church on Saturday, September 8th at 10am.

Juanita asked that we celebrate her life, so there will also be a party held in her honor on September 23rd at her home in Austin, Texas. Juanita is survived by her husband Henry, and son Jarred in Austin, Texas; her son Brett, his wife Margo and two step-grandchildren, Max and Molly in San Leandro, California; her brother Wesley and his wife Cindy in Stratford, Texas; her sister Sharon and husband Mike in Pampa, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends. Juanita was preceded by her parents, her sister Geneva Maddox and her nephew TJ Miller.

After surviving her first cancer battle in 2015, Juanita stated “I had a wonderful life and then I had a beautiful life”. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family as well as the numerous lives she touched over the years. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.
