She was born on March 19, 1924 in Clarksville, Texas the daughter of William and Rose Etta Evans Moore. She married Vester James Sturgess in 1943, he preceded her in death.
Juanita had four children, Wanda Robertson who preceded her in death, James Sturgess, John Sturgess and wife Joyce and Pat Gray and husband Bill, grandchildren, David Carroll, Thomas Carroll, Gretchen Sisemore and husband Michael, Timmy Lee Gipson Jr., John Riley Walker, James Quincy Sturgess, Kimberly Bowman and husband Hugh, Larry Kidd and wife Joyce Radford, Patricia Ann Kidd who also preceded her in death, Robyn Gray, Sarah Jane Gray and Davon Hilliard and Maris Dawson and husband Richard and Jason Sturgess, great grandchildren, Autumn Mills, Jade Mills, Alex Sturgess, Haven Sturgess, Xander, Naeyli, Olivia Sturgess, Haley Sisemore, Samantha Sisemore, Joellen kidd, Zoe Gray, Will Gray, Ripley Gray, Michael Penrose, Max Hillard, Blaire Hillard and Molley Hillard, Richard Dawson, Matthew Dawson, Brittany Vela, Stephany Dawson, great great grandchildren, Taylor Bacon, Trevor Bacon and Tyler Bacon, Dillion Dawson, Colin Dawson, Kaleb Dawson, Kilee Dawson, Mason Dawson, Brody Vela, Jeffery Campbell and Emma Campbell. She also had two sisters, Mami Buchanan and Ruby Brown, one brother, Clearence George Burton Moore and wife Maybelle who all preceded her in death. Her nephews are James E. Brown and wife Mildred, George Moore who preceded her in death, Eugene Buchanan.
Barbara Ann Moore, Johnny Wayne Moore and Lonnie Joe Moore who all preceded her in death, Wayland Moore, Thomas Moore, Jerry Mack Moore, Donald Gene Moore, Edward Lee Moore and Etta Belle James who both preceded her in death. Juanita’s great nieces and nephews are Diane S. Gibson (Brown), Linda L. McLean (Brown), James W. Brown, Jeannie Hidey (Brown), Katrina Moore Osborne, Michelle Lynn, Kristi Dawn Moore Hankins, Tamera Renee Moore, Lonnie Moore Jr., Jewel Moore, Wayland Moore, Thomas Moore, Marion Moore, Betty Moore Ibarra, Clearence Edward Moore, Gina Moore Chrisi, Steven Wayne Moore and Eugene “Butch” Buchanan. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.
