Obituary for Judith Ann “Judy” Brown (Bartleman) Of Burlington formerly of Waltham, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning October 5th, 2018 in her home at the age of 71. Born on August 5, 1947 in Waltham; daughter of the late Louis and Mary E. (Hilley) Bartleman, Judy was raised in Waltham and moved to Burlington 46 years ago. She spent many years vacationing in Marco Island, Florida and Lake George, New York.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the class of 1965, Judy worked closely with her brother at “Dick’s T.V. Shop” and for a period of time at the Polaroid Corporation in Waltham. Judy was an avid bowler and bingo player. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with family and friends whether at home, family gatherings, shopping with her granddaughters; Friday nights at “Dee Dee’s”, outings with Barbara and friends to the Reagle Players Theater, or following every aspect of her families life.

If there was a party or family gathering Judy was the first one there; she cherished the moments spent with her granddaughters, and nieces & nephews, whom she considered to be her own children. She was a mother like figure to all of them. There will forever be a void in the hearts of those she touched in her life.

She will be deeply missed by those that knew and loved her. Judy is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years Richard “Richie” Brown, her loving & devoted children Brian “Brownie” Brown of Burlington and Laura Frost and her husband Shawn of Seabrook, NH, her cherished granddaughters Jennifer and Alyson, her dear siblings Margaret (Bartleman) Lucchese of Waltham, Mary E. (Bartleman) Cavanaugh of Waltham, Louis Bartleman of Waltham, and late Richard “Dick” Bartleman her lifelong best friend Trisha DeSauliers of Waltham. In addition she is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins that loved her dearly, and her extended Lake George Family.

Relatives & Friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service in celebration of Judy’s Life in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Friday afternoon Oct. 12th at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held in the Mary Catherine Chapel prior to the funeral on Friday morning from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Burlington.
