Judith Ann (Nielsen) Solstad Judith Ann (Nielsen) Solstad, 79, of Walker, MN died Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living Center in Park Rapids, MN. Judy was born June 27, 1939 to Peter and Ethel (Brenholdt) Nielsen in Frederic, Wisconsin. She grew up in Frederic and Luck, WI, graduating from Luck High School.

On July 21, 1956, she was married to Donald Solstad, in Luck, WI. Judy was a homemaker, caring for family and friends with grace and dedication. For nine years she served on the staff of Camp Shamineau near Motley, MN.

When they moved to Walker, Judy worked as a county support person for both Cass and Hubbard Counties. Her favorite activities centered around her church. Judy shared the love of Jesus with everyone she met, particularly at the county jail and as a Bible Study Fellowship leader.

Judy had a special love for children. Judy is survived by her husband, Don; sons, Brad (Sherry) and Brian (Karen); daughter, Sue (Denny) Johnson; grandchildren, Jenny, Kyle, Ryan, Tylor, Jesse, Caitlin, Rebecca, Bethany, Anna, Carrie, Kelly, Andrew, Natalie, and their spouses; 10 great-grandchildren; and brother, Gerald (LaVonne) Nielsen. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gordon Nielsen.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Calvary Church in Walker, with visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
