Judith A. (Judy) Waters, 69, of Murphy, went home to meet our Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at her home. Judy was born in Indiana, PA and the daughter of Julius and Betty Betzold. She is survived by her husband and best friend of 33 years, Danny Waters; as well as three children; sons, Jason and Doug; and daughter, Annie; six grandchildren, Emily, Hailey, Ethan, Kyle, Joey and Ariel.

She also leaves behind a brother, Tom; and sisters, Rhonda, Jan and Pat. A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at 3pm, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Murphy First Baptist Church, where she was a member. Memorials may be made to either Good Shepherd Hospice, Gideon’s International or a donation to the blood bank.

Arrangements are being handled by Penland Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Swannanoa. Penland Family Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Waters Family.
