Obituary for Judith J. Fernandez (Anderson) Judith J. Fernandez 79, passed away on December 31st at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady, NY. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Judith was the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Dana) Anderson and a graduate of Draper High School. Judith attended St. Rose College and worked in finance and rose to the position of Vice President with Key Bank.

She later in her career worked for Georgetown Subaru. An expert seamstress, Judith would make her own work clothing. Predeceased by her husband Jose Fernandez in 2014 and by her brothers Donald and Billy Anderson, Judith is survived by her daughter; Jill DeSantis of Scotia, her sister; Lynne Anderson of Amsterdam, and brother Allan Anderson of Schenectady and Bruce Anderson of Esperance, her 4 grandchildren; Mary Kate DeSantis, Taylor DeSantis, Kevin Safford and Samuel DeSantis, her 5 great grandchildren; Izabella, Kilee, Dylan, Delainie and Gracie and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Judith’s life will be held on Monday evening January 7th at 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave. , Schenectady, NY. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm prior to the service.
