Judith “Judy” (Orloff) Everts, 74, died peacefully at home in Florida on August 31, 2018. Born on January 17, 1944 in Watertown, NY, she spent most of her life in Syracuse, NY, where she raised her family. She later retired to Sarasota, FL with her long-time partner Cameron Ross.
Judy was a Licensed Practical Nurse in both NY and FL, a Life Master ACBL Bridge Player and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. She loved cruising the world as a bridge instructor and traveling nurse. Judy was predeceased by siblings William and John Orloff Jr., parents Irene and John Orloff Sr. and the father of her children, James F. Everts.
She is survived by her three children: Laurie (Thomas) Ruston, James (Brooke) Everts and Judith Everts; grandchildren Nicholas (Rebecca) Ruston, Jordyn Ruston, Guiliana Everts, Gavin Everts, Amy Crissey and Chloe Ross; great-granddaughter Mara Rose Ruston; siblings Irene (Timothy) Maiolo and Michael Orloff, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Graveside Service will be held at 11am Saturday September 22 at North Syracuse Cemetery. A reception will be held at Twin Trees Restaurant, North Syracuse immediately following.
